Cowboy Beans Recipe by Brenda Duffy

Ingredients

  • 1/4lb Bacon (chopped)
  • 1 medium Onion (chopped)
  • 1-15 oz can Kidney beans (drained)
  • 1-15 oz can Butter beans (drained)
  • 1-15 oz can Lima beans (drained)
  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Mustard
  • 2 teaspoons Cider Vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Catsup
  • 1 Hillshire Farm Hot Smoked Sausage

Directions

Step 1
1 brown onion and bacon in stock pot add remaining ingredients
(except sausage) and simmer for 30 minutes
Step 2
2. grill smoked sausage over medium - high heat for 8-10 minutes
Step 3
3. to serve cut up sausage and place in beans

Venison Vegetable Soup by BW

Ingredients

  • 1lb Venison (cubed)
  • 1 tablespoon Cooking Oil
  • 1 Onion (diced)
  • 1 bag Frozen Mixed Vegetables
  • 1 can Italian Diced Tomatoes
  • 3 medium Potatoes (diced)
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 can Beer (your choice)
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 1 teaspoon Hot Sauce (your choice)

Directions

Step 1
Add oil to medium dutch oven
Step 2
Sauté onion until clear
Step 3
Add venison and brown
Step 4
Add water, beer and beef broth
Step 5
Add remaining ingredients
Cook over medium heat for ½ hour
Reduce to simmer, cover and simmer for 1 hour

3 by 3 Chili (3 meats, 3 beans) by BW

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Chili Powder
  • 2 tablespoons Smoked Paprika
  • 2 tablespoons Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 medium Onion (chopped)
  • 1 Green Pepper (chopped)
  • 1 Celery Stalk (chopped)
  • 1lb Ground Venison
  • 1lb Ground Hot Italian Sausage
  • 1lb Breakfast Sausage
  • 1 can Chili Hot Beans
  • 1 can Kidney Beans
  • 1 can Great Northern Beans
  • 1 can Italian Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 can Beer (your choice)
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1/4 cup Cumin Powder

Directions

Step 1
Put cooking oil in 5 qt dutch oven
over medium heat
Step 2
Chop onion, pepper, and celery
Sauté until onions clear
Step 3
Add meat 1 at a time and brown
Step 4
Add beer and water
Bring to a boil and add remaining ingredients
reduce heat to simmer for 1 ½ hours

Chicken Marsala by BW

Ingredients

  • 6 Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Thyme
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 4 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 cup Portabellos (sliced)
  • 1 cup Marsala Wine
  • 1/4 cup Sherry

Directions

Step 1
Put olive oil in skillet
sauté mushrooms, place in 5qt dutch oven
add butter to skillet
Step 2
Brown chicken breast, place in dutch oven
Step 3
Combine all other ingredients in dutch oven
cook over medium heat for 45 minutes

Crock Pot Beef Merlot by BW

Ingredients

  • 1 small Package Sliced Portabellas
  • 1 cup Merlot Wine
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme
  • 2 cups Baby Carrots
  • 1 stalk Celery (chopped)
  • 1 medium Onion (chopped)
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 1/2lb Sirlion Steak (cubed)

Directions

Step 1
Combine all ingredients in slow cooker
for 8 hours cook time
